Diabetes patients will be able to get insulin from any pharmacy, starting April 1st. The Ministry of Health has taken this decision as a result of the numerous complaints received from the patients dissatisfied with the great distances they have to travel to the pharmacies of the hospitals, in order to obtain their treatment.

The Ministry of Health has taken this decision as a result of the numerous complaints received from the patients dissatisfied with the great distances they have to travel to the pharmacies of the hospitals, in order to obtain their treatment.
Also from April 1, the drugs for posttransplant treatment, as well as those intended for oncological conditions can be issued by any pharmacy that has a contract with one of the health insurance houses.
Last year, the Ministry of Health issued a similar decision. Starting with October 1, 2006, all oral antidiabetic drugs began to be released to patients through all pharmacies, not just through pharmaceutical points in hospitals or health institutes.
