Daily sex increases sperm quality

Researchers at the University of Sydney conducted a study, which found that practicing sex every day increases sperm quality in men.
The results of the study, therefore contradict the myth that couples facing problems related to fertility must abstain from sex for several days, in order to generate better sperm quality.
The researchers believe that this period of abstinence will have an opposite effect than expected; will lead to decreased sperm quality.
The study was conducted on a group of 42 men, whose sperm was considered normal, following the analyzes performed.
Volunteers were asked to ejaculate daily for 7 days. Subsequently, men were asked to ejaculate after 3 days of abstinence. The 2 samples obtained were compared.
The researchers found that out of the 40 participants in the study, only 5 showed a slight decrease in sperm quality, from the sample obtained after daily ejaculation, compared to the sample obtained after ejaculation after the withdrawal period.
The study showed that if men ejaculate daily, fewer DNA damage will occur, which will lead to improved sperm quality.
