Letter to the 2011 Gaudeamus book fair
Between November 23 and 27, Litera welcomed its readers to its stand in Central Pavilion, Romexpo, with many surprises, new titles and interesting events.
With a rich offer, with many new titles and discounts for all pockets (between 15% and 50%), the Letter was, and this time, very close to its readers. Among the best-selling titles we mention "The Bible - The Bible Atlas", with over 150 copies sold. Being a very interesting book and with a very comprehensive content, the Bible has recommended itself to the visitors of the fair, being the most complex atlas of the Holy Lands published to date.
"One Day" by David Nicholls had over 300 copies sold, a sign that the book is still in high demand. Other titles from the collection of premium literature purchased by readers were "Clopotele" by Richard Harvell and "Secret Lives" by Tatiana de Rosnay. In anticipation of the winter holidays, the Romanians also purchased "Santa Claus Priveag arrives", a collection of Romanian poems, carols and specific stories, extremely beautifully illustrated.
The books from the Thriller collection, led by Clive Cussler's "Kingdom", as well as the international Bestseller collection, the Top Ten Travel Guides collection with "Top 10 Bucharest" were also highly sought after.
Among the practical books we mention Gordon Ramsay's "The Perfect Menu", among the athletes and encyclopedias we mention "1000 events that shaped the world", and among the books for teenagers we mention "A day out of seven" by Lauren Oliver and "Legaminte" by Ally Condie.
Starting with November 25, the Letter welcomed its visitors with numerous events, namely the launches of the books "Top 10 Bucharest", "Biblica", "Bells" by Richard Harvell, "Ten days under the wave" by Daniela Zeca-Buzura, " Passion ”by Lauren Kate,“ The Adventures of the Valentine's Spirit ”," Children's Circus "and" Santa Claus arrive ". Among the guests who were with us, we mentioned Adrian Cioroianu, Bedros Horasangian, Oana Sirbu, Daniela Nane, Mariuca Mihailescu, Maia Morgenstern, Elisabeta Lasconi, Daniela Zeca-Buzura, Luca Niculescu, Claudiu Istodor, Monica Davidescu, the Bravissimo children's choir , the Budurusi circus band, the theater band coordinated by Daniela Nane, and many other book friends.
The eighteenth edition of the Gaudeamus Book Fair was, as we have so far become accustomed to, a real opportunity to meet with our readers and to reiterate the interest for beautiful and interesting books to all those who have passed the Romexpo threshold this year.
